3D assessment

Three-dimensional (3D) assessment: Graphic and numerical comparison of the mathematical model to the measured object.

The coordinate measuring machines (CMM) operate to test and verify the dimensional and geometric tolerances of the products at a rapid pace and with high accuracy and versatility.

The use of specialised software applications combines the 3D measurement centres with CAD technology, allowing the comparison between the 3D mathematical model (the design of the object) and the physical model (the coordinates of the points on the object as detected and measured by the instruments).

The test report will then contain the results of the comparison and the graphical and numerical deviations found between the 3D and physical models.
